General description

The "IT project manager" designs, develops and implements the IT solutions necessary for the development of an information system according to the expectations of internal or external sponsors. He / She defines and coordinates all the material resources and skills necessary for the performance and optimization of a complex information system. He / She ensures the proper functioning of the computer system made up of software and hardware layers, in compliance with the strategic orientations of the company or his / her client .

Level 7 certified title

At the end of the training, successful candidates should be able to:

- Analyze the operation of the company, the business of the client to prepare solutions for the information system according to the needs of the client.
- Identify the strategic choices for the evolution of the company's information systems to prepare IT solutions for the evolution of the information system.
- Design communication supports to transmit to service providers information relating to the development expected by the sponsor of the information system.

- Prepare technical service providers to ensure the implementation of technical and functioning of recommendations related to the new information system.

- Define with the IT project manager (MOE) the general technical specifications of the project, the client's budget, and constraints to establish an IT solution template.

-Design the IT security of the information system to protect the data of the client company.

-Plan all stages of the implementation of the information system in order to assign tasks according to the skills of the workforce.

- Develop performance indicators and monitoring tables for the implementation of the new information system to direct the work of the steering committee.

- Develop a common vision of the new information system to bring service providers together towards the chosen IT solution.

- Set up the technical operating procedures for the use and security of computer equipment to secure the data of the company, of staff, and customers.

-Ensure that performance indicators are regularly reported to service providers and the IT project manager (MOE) in French and/or English to report on the progress of the new information system

- Develop with the help of its IT team, the installations and implementation of IT solutions to improve the information system to ensure its functionality.

- Diagnose the nature and origin of IT incidents reported, to ensure the progressive and corrective maintenance (TMA) of the information system in view of technological developments and the needs of the client.

- Carry out the various steps of validation of the proper functioning of the information system through a technical and functional test, to use actual data for debugging in a production environment.

- Deploy the information system on a pilot site to validate the proper functioning of it in its environment.

- Formally determine the requirements of the technical department (design methods, systems and networks, development language tools) to set up the correct equipment

- Write a newsletter to inform partners of trends and innovations in their sector of activity.

Description of skills to be acquired per block

Block n ° 1 - Manage the implementation of IT solutions

1. Plan all the stages in the implementation of the information system to distribute the tasks in a structured way according to the skills of the collaborators

2. Develop performance indicators and scrutiny plan for the implementation of the new information system to direct the work of the steering committee

3. Develop a shared vision of the new information system to bring service providers together towards the chosen IT solution

4. Set up technical operating procedures for the use and security of computer equipment to secure company data, its staff and its customers.

5. Provide regular reporting, in French and / or English, to service providers and the MOE, based on performance indicators, to report on the progress of the new information system.

Evaluation methods

Memory. Theme: IT solutions provided in view of the changing expectations of a sponsor which depend on their sector of activity. Following a period in a professional environment last between 6 and 12 weeks, the thesis, written in French and English, presents an analysis and comments relating to the criticisms of a company in view of its positioning in its environment.

 

Block n ° 2: Deliver the information system to the client and ensure its maintenance

1. Using its IT team, develop the facilities and implementation of IT solutions that improve the information system to ensure its functionality

Evaluation methods 

1. Placed in a professional situation. Theme: Installation of the information system and acceptance. Writing of a dissertation and oral presentation (30 minutes).

2. Placed in a professional situation, Individual work, Theme: Presentation and critical analysis of a monitoring system and writing of a newsletter in English. Practical and written work prepared for two weeks and presented in front of a professional jury.

Block n ° 3: Design IT solutions adapted to the request of the sponsor

1. Analyze the operation of the company/the business of the client, to prepare solutions for the information system according to the needs of the client.

2. Identify the strategic choices for the evolution of the company's information systems to prepare IT solutions for the evolution of the information system.

3. Design communication media to provide information relating to the development expected by the sponsor.

4. Prepare technical service providers to ensure the good implementation of technical and functional recommendations of the new information system.

5. Define with the IT project manager (MOE) the general technical specifications of the project, the client's budget, constraints to establish specifications for IT solutions.

6. Design the computer security of the information system to protect the data of the client company.

Evaluation methods

Placed in a professional situation. Theme: Extension of the information system of an SME following the establishment of a business unit. Work in the group; Written work (two weeks of preparation) and oral presentation(30 minutes).
